【Symposia and international Conferences】
JFA conducts international symposia and seminars discussing HACCP inviting guest speakers from foreign government organizations and industry experts.JFA also sends delegates to Codex Committees for fish and fishery products and for Food Hygiene, in order to express our views as a central seafood Industry organization in our contry.
【Training activities】
JFA is holding training courses teaching all relevant people involved in seafood processing the basic theory and the application of HACCP-based food hygiene control procedures. Guidelines introducing updated quality and hygiene control technologies are also distributed.
【Certification of HACCP-based processing】
JFA issues the HACCP-based processing certificate to a firm that export the products to the U.S. and complies with the related U.S. seafood regulations. Specially designed certification service for financial support to firms wishing to introduce HACCP is operated by JFA.
【Other activities】
The Special Committee for Seafood Exporters is working to promote export of seafood and cope with various international trade issues pertaining to seafood. The Special Committee for Seafood Distributors engaged in reduction of distribution costs and collection and analysis of all the pretinent information.
